Ceramic Artist, Designer and Theatre Professional based in Stroud

I did my foundation course in Art at North Staffordshire Polytechnic in Stoke-on-Trent, followed by a BA in Ceramics at Loughborough College of Art, Graduating in 1980. In 1982 I was accepted to a 2 year Masters Degree in Fine Art at Texas Christian University, in Fort Worth. I graduated with a MFA in 1984 then returned to the UK moving to London where I joined the Barbican Arts Group, at that time in central London. I lived in Bow, East London for seven years then moved to Walthamstow. In 2024 my husband, painter Mick Mills and I left London for Stroud setting up our respective studios at our new home in Ebley.
In London I worked in ceramics painting and drawing in my studio with the Barbican Arts Group and in1987 started to design for a Theatre in Education company called Soapbox, which set me on a thirty-five year path working with small scale theatre companies in various capacities.
